CNC Milling

CNC milling is one of the most popular CNC machining processes. In fact, many professional machine shops often use the terms CNC machining and CNC milling interchangeably. Face milling and peripheral milling are two of the most common CNC milling applications.

In a CNC milling machine, a rotating tool moves relative to the workpiece to remove material. The tool (often called a milling cutter) is mounted on a rotatable spindle. The spindle's rotation and movement enable CNC milling machines to perform milling operations in three or more axes.


CNC Drilling

The CNC drilling process is much simpler than using a milling cutter or turning. In CNC drilling, the drill moves across the workpiece, creating the hole, while the workpiece remains stationary.
