This technique works best when cutting pressures are low and the surface area is large enough to create a sufficient bond.
  2. Commonly used materials for the fixture plate include aluminum and Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). To prepare an aluminum plate, it should be clamped to the table and faced smooth and flat to create a suitable bonding surface. It is important not to use coolant during this process, as its residue can inhibit proper bonding.
  3. To ensure a strong bond with the tape, it is recommended to place a heavy weight on the part after taping and let it set for at least 15 minutes. The longer the weight is left in place, the better the bond will be, so it is advisable to leave it for several hours or even overnight if possible.
